American Ithaca Model 3 1/2 Double Dial Parlor Calendar Clock
This Model No. 3-1/2 double dial parlor calendar clock by the notable Ithaca Calendar Clock Company of New York is a beautiful example of Victorian horology. Crafted in a walnut case with carved ebonized embellishments, trim, and crown. The applied side panels are accented with painted silver.
Powering this stately clock is a pendulum-driven 8-day movement that marks the hour and half-hour with a clear bell strike. The etched glass pendulum bob swings from a gridiron pendulum. In the upper case, the time displays on a black paper dial with white Roman numerals and trefoil hands. Below, the calendar dial displays the month and day of the week behind reverse-painted frames while the numeric date is indicated on the reverse-painted numerals of the dial’s perimeter. Further, a perpetual complication enables the clock to self-adjust for every deviation in month, day, and leap year.
This exceptional clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
