Edwardian Platinum-Topped Gold Diamond and Synthetic Ruby Lavalier

Delicate, feminine, and exquisitely crafted, this Edwardian lavalier necklace captures the graceful refinement of the early 20th century. Expertly fashioned in platinum-topped 18K yellow gold, the pendant showcases elegant openwork filigree accented with fine milgrain edging, a hallmark of Edwardian craftsmanship.

At its center glows a constellation of 5 Old European-cut diamonds, surrounded by 40 rose-cut diamonds that shimmer softly throughout the airy design, altogether totaling 0.93 carats. Framing these diamonds are 36 channel-set trapezoid synthetic rubies, their vibrant color forming striking circular and linear accents that echo the elegance of the era’s neoclassical motifs.

Suspended from an 18K white gold chain, the necklace measures 20 inches in length and features a stylized connecting bar set with two additional diamonds, providing both structure and sparkle. The articulated drop at the bottom of the pendant adds graceful movement and a lovely focal point when worn.

A refined and romantic jewel from the early 1900s, this lavalier is a beautiful example of the sophisticated lightness, platinum work, and gemstone artistry that defined the Edwardian period.
