Heuer Carrera 12 Chronograph Reference 2456S in 18K Yellow Gold
This early Heuer Carrera is a landmark of 1960s Swiss chronograph design. Measuring 36mm, the watch exudes classic style and features a first-series dial within an uncommon and highly desirable second-series 18K yellow gold case.
The dial is beautifully preserved, featuring slim beveled baton hour markers and a clean three-register layout powered by the renowned Valjoux 72 three-register manual chronograph movement, also used in Rolex Daytonas of the same period. The 12-hour register bears the “Swiss” designation only, without the later “T” for tritium, a distinguishing feature that places the dial in the earlier series of Carreras. Completing the watch, the crown carries the Heuer shield, and the watch retains its signed, hallmarked 18K buckle.
This Carrera is one of the earliest expressions of the model that would become a cornerstone of Heuer’s identity, uniting understated design with mechanical excellence.
This watch comes with a complete restoration and an 18-month warranty.
