Jaeger-LeCoultre Gran Sport Reverso Retrograde Chronograph in 18K Yellow Gold
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso wristwatch and its splendid design originated in the early 1930s. This exceptional Calibre 859 model dates to 2010 and features a high-grade manual wind movement with a retrograde chronograph. Expertly crafted in 18K yellow gold, the case maintains the traditional Art Deco influenced design with the iconic gadrooning.
Both dials are silvered and embellished with a guilloché grid pattern. They are appointed with Arabic numerals and luminous leaf hands. The clock dial includes a date aperture at the 6 o’clock position and an Arret/Marche indicator corresponding to the chronograph running or stopped. With a simple flip and slide of the case, the chronograph assumes the visible position with a 60 seconds dial above a 30 minute dial.
Despite the advanced complications of the movement in this watch, it remains amazingly sleek and sits comfortably on the wrist. The chic rubber band secures with the clever double-fold clasp which neatly integrates with the band. This legendary Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece is wonderfully versatile, all original, and in nearly new condition. Further, it bears a complete servicing and an 18-month warranty.
