A wonderful coastal landscape by Califonia artist Edward Leo Forbes (1891-1988).  In this lovely scene, Forbes very aptly captures the unique color palette, hues, and feel of a Southern California oceanside view. This lovely painting also exhibits in the original frame, perfectly suited to the scene, and is signed lower left.

Missouri-born Forbes is regarded for his well-executed Southern California landscapes, where he resided from his early twenties.
