American Salem Brothers Boudoir Lamps
This unique pair of lamps is a marvelous example of Art Deco artistry. Crafted by respected American lighting company Salem Brothers, the pair feature bent slag glass pannel shades within cast iron frames. The lamps rest on elegant cast-iron 1920s period bases of slightly varied design.
Each carefully designed frame depicts an Asian garden scene with the figure of a woman at the center. When illuminated, the lamp’s shade highlights the negative space in a lovely silhouette. The subtle orange hue of the glass casts beautiful color onto the backlit scene creating the illusion of a sunset.
