English Mahogany Pond Yacht
This wonderful hand-crafted pond yacht hails from about 1890 when the popular English pastime of pond racing was in full swing. A racing sloop fitted with a mainsail and 3 fore sails. Most likely crafted after an authentic British racing yacht of the time. It is in great condition and maintains its original sails, rigging, and brass fittings. The hull, with an extended center keel and rudder, is crafted of mahogany and has a lovely old patina. This marvelous marine art treasure is showcased on a very nice conforming carved stand.
