French Bow Front Crystal Regulator

This exceptional French bow front crystal regulator dates to the late Victorian period and exhibits wonderful craftsmanship. The clock is encased in gilt brass with further cast brass ormolu adorning the surface in decorative artistry. Elegant beveled glass panels fit into all four sides of the clock giving the viewer an intriguing 360 degree view of the clock’s inner workings. The time displays on a brass dial in striking contrast with the Arabic porcelain cartouche numerals. An 8-day movement powers this elegant clock which strikes the hour and the half-hour on a tuned gong.

The clock movement bears the signature of French clockmaker Vincenti and was retailed by prominent American jewelers J.E. Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia.

This clock bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
