French Figural Clock And Barometer Set

This lovely clock and barometer pair are a blend of clockmaking and artistry. Each mechanism rests in the hands of elegant female figures, each holding the dials high above their heads. Crafted in rich gilt brass, each young woman displays lovely form and remarkable detail. Flowing material drapes gracefully around each figure, while ribbons and garlands surround them in beautiful adornment. Each piece is mounted on oval wood wall plaques with ebony trim. An 8-day movement powers the clock, which strikes the hour and half-hour on a bell. The time displays on a porcelain Roman numeral dial with Breguet-style hands.
