Japanese Bronze Sculpture of Woodcutter Feeding Monkey

This finely crafted Japanese bronze sculpture depicts a woodcutter feeding his monkey. He shoulders his woodcutting tool with one hand. His other hand holds a morsel of food and extends out to feed the monkey.

The woodcutter’s tunic has an engraved floral motif. A natural reddish brown color patina also envelops the sculpture.
