Swiss Quarter-Hour Repeating Pocket Watch by Henry Capt

This sleek early 20th-century pocket watch exudes refined elegance. Distinguished by the central display window, which allows the user to view the time without opening the case, this style is commonly referred to as a “half-hunter” or “demi-hunter” case pocket watch. The original kiln-fired enamel dial displays the time on elegant black Roman numerals. Further, the classic 18K yellow gold case houses a true horological marvel, a repeater function. This exceptional watch will chime the time to the nearest quarter-hour by sliding a lever.

The dust cover and movement both bear the signature “Henry Capt, Geneve”. Henry-Daniel Capt (1773 – 1840) is among the more renowned Swiss watch and automaton makers. Capt and his succeeding watchmaking house specialized in complicated watches, automata, and musical and automaton watches. Examples of Capt’s work command high value at auction and appear in the Swiss National Museum in Geneva, Switzerland.

This watch features a high-grade, fully restored 31 jewel movement and an 18-month warranty.
