French Art Nouveau Clock Garniture

This enchanting Art Nouveau clock garniture is comprised of a sculptural clock and accompanying 5-light candelabra. Beautifully crafted in spelter and bearing warm green and brown patinae. The center timepiece depicts a young woman on tiptoe in a simple flowing dress gracefully leaning over the clock. The clock case has unstructured lines and is adorned with vines and dragonflies in keeping with nature-inspired Art Nouveau characteristics. The 5-light candelabra also have soft and natural lines with floral and vining decoration. All are raised on lovely translucent green onyx bases fitted with ornate gilt brass feet.

Keeping the time is an 8-day mechanical movement that strikes a bell at the hour and half-hour. The time displays on a handpainted porcelain dial with stylized Arabic numerals and Fleur de Lys hands. The dial also has a pretty handpainted floral garland and is signed L. Esquene, Toulouse. And finally, the clock bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
