French Corniche Case Crystal Regulator
Historically, the regulator was developed by scientific means to more accurately keep time. For example, the railroads came to rely upon them for their operations. As the demand for accuracy of timekeeping grew, they evolved for domestic use and style as well. Such is the case with this lovely crystal regulator. Its clean and classic lines make it so amenable to any decor.
Crafted in a corniche case with beveled glass all on all sides. The 8-day movement keeps the time with a temperature compensating mercury pendulum and notes the hour and half hour with a bell strike. The face is elegant with Roman numerals on porcelain cartouche, fleur de lis hands, and a decorative cast center. Further, this clock comes fully restored and with a one year warranty.
