French 14 Day Mantel Clock

This splendid mantel clock dates to 1840 and is beautifully presented in a case of distinctive bird’s-eye maple veneer. Crafted with sleek and elegant Biedermeier characteristics and with a nod to classicism in the lovely bronze ormolu depiction of Terpsichore, Muse of Dance. The plinth base is accented with bronze ormolu trim on all sides.

Keeping the time within is a silk thread suspension movement that runs for an impressive 14 days on a single wind. A clear bell strike marks the hour and half-hour. The time displays on a brass dial with Roman numerals and decorative embossed center within a bronze embossed bezel.

This elegant mantel clock bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
