French Rosewood and Marquetry Bracket Clock
This lovely bracket clock was produced in the early 1800s by the respected Parisian clockmaker Henri Marc. Expertly crafted in an exotic rosewood case with gently rounded corners, ebonized trim, and embellished with floral and foliate marquetry and string inlays. An ornate cast brass handle atop conforms to the decorative marquetry.
Keeping the time within is an 8-day movement with silk thread suspension that strikes a bell at the hour and half-hour. The time is displayed on a crisp white dial signed by the maker, Hry Marc à Paris, and appointed with Roman numerals and decorative cathedral hands. The movement has undergone a full restoration and carries a one-year warranty.
Sleek and elegant, standing at just 10 inches in height, this wonderful clock is well-suited for a variety of locations and decor.
