American Victor VI 78 RPM Spearpoint Horn Mahogany Phonograph

The Victor model VI is a superb example of the American Victor Company’s top phonograph model of the early 1900s. A Honduran mahogany case houses Victor’s most advanced and largest spring-wound motor. The larger spring allows for extended playtime and powers the turntable for approximately 15 minutes on a full wind. In addition, the sizable turntable allows the machine to play 10″ or 12″ records.

The case features carved Corinthian columns at each corner, gilt accents, and a gold plated tone arm. These embellishments were only available in Victor’s top models, an indication that the owner could afford the highest-quality phonograph of the day. Further, this phonograph boasts a beautiful spearpoint wood horn, Victor’s finest and the most expensive horn option of the early 1900s. The horn is named for the spear-like points carved into the perimeter. These horns were challenging to produce and are among the rarest and most desirable models to acquire today.

This beautiful phonograph bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
