Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Covered Jar

This lovely Chinese porcelain jar features an elegant all-over floral design and dates to the eighteenth century. The rounded baluster-form body is richly adorned with scrolling vines and stylized blossoms rendered in varying shades of soft blue against a white ground. The intricate floral pattern is framed by geometric borders at the shoulder and a white border along the base. Complementing the vessel are a fitted wooden lid and carved wooden stand, both of which enhance its presentation with beautiful contrast.
