American Art Nouveau Style Hall Clock By Herschede

This wonderful American hall clock by the Herschede Clock Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, towers at 8 feet tall and features an artistic hand-carved case. Crafted of richly colored mahogany, fluid lines, and gentle s-curves make up the clock’s silhouette, beautifully exemplifying the grandeur of Art Nouveau design. Foral garlands and scroll and leaf carvings further adorn the base and crown, adding delicate opulence to the case.

Behind the arched upper door rests a beautiful pierced and engraved brass fretwork dial. The time displays on an ornate silvered chapter ring with applied cast brass Arabic numerals while the arch displays the phases of the moon. Two additional subsidiary dials govern the tune selection and strike and silent feature.

An eight-day three weight movement powers the clock, which strikes the quarter hours on nine tubular bells.

This magnificent clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
