American Cast Bronze Oil Lamp
This enchanting early 1900s American oil lamp displays exquisite craftsmanship and striking figural design. Creating the wonderfully artistic base are three griffins, each supporting a corner with wings outstretched. Each mythical figure is cast with masterful realism from the individual feathers in each wing, to their serene facial expressions and waving strands of hair. Floral embossed detail decorates the bottom of the base and the lamp’s front, featuring a double-wick luminaire that burns brighter than a common single-wick lamp. Finally, a striking cranberry glass globe rests atop the cast bronze base, displaying an elegant ripple pattern.
