American Victor V 78 RPM Phonograph with Spearpoint Horn on Rare Original Stand
Considered one of the best-performing Victor phonograph models of its day, the Victor Model V is the result of expert craftsmanship inside and out. This particular model is crafted from quarter-sawn oak and sits on a rare original stand and storage cabinet. The ensemble makes a seamless, beautiful presentation and displays exceptionally rich wood grain throughout.
The phonograph case is styled with square column corners and features a rare Spearpoint wood horn. The Spearpoint, named for the spear-like points carved into the perimeter, was Victor’s finest and the most expensive horn option of the early 1900s. In addition, the machine features a nickel-plated tone arm and decorative gilt-painted embellishment on the horn support. On the front is the metal plaque for the Victor Talking Machine Co. Within is one of Victor’s most robust triple-spring-driven motors, offering longer playtime. The beautiful lower cabinet of conforming style has floral-carved corners atop, and rests on carved claw feet, featuring automatic doors that open to reveal ample storage.
This Model V phonograph includes 10 records and also features a complete restoration and a one-year warranty. Nothing compares to the sound and sentiments generated by these wonderful musical machines. This beautiful and rare ensemble is truly impressive.
