English Rare Detent Escapement Skeleton Clock by Evans of Handsworth

A beautiful scroll-form skeleton clock produced in the 1870s by the renowned English clockmaking firm, Evans of Handsworth. Masterfully crafted with dramatic foliate and scrollwork plates. This exceptional eight-day timepiece is powered by a chain-driven fusée movement with detent escapement for improved accuracy. The time displays on a pierced, silvered, and engraved chapter ring with shield cartouche Roman numerals and blued steel fleur de lys hands.

This beautiful example of horological prowess by Evans of Handsworth is displayed under an oval blown glass dome and rests on a stepped and footed green marble base. Further, this distinguished timepiece bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty. Evans clocks are some of the most desirable skeleton clocks on the market today.
