English Sir Walter Scott Memorial Skeleton Clock

A wonderful skeleton clock and tribute to famed Scottish author, Sir Walter Scott. Fashioned after the monument constructed in his honor during the second half of the 19th century in Edinburgh, Scotland. This beautiful clock features a rare balance wheel escapement above the single-train fusée movement. The time displays on a silvered, pierced, and engraved dial with Roman numerals and blued steel trefoil hands. A gilt brass Sir Walter Scott and his dog, Maida, sit beneath at the center. Overall presented within a glass dome on a velvet-covered plinth and marble base with bun feet. Furthermore, this fine timepiece bears a full restoration and a one year warranty.
