English Slant Front Secretary in Honduran Mahogany

A lovely and stately English slant front secretary dating to the late 18th century and crafted of Honduran mahogany. The upper case features a broken swan’s neck pediment embellished with rosettes and a foliate carving at the center. Two raised panel doors open to reveal bookshelves and an inset row of drawers.

The lower case features the slant front above four graduated drawers raised on bracket feet. The slant front drops to reveal the desk. The writing surface is fitted with inset leather. The stepped interior features a document door flanked by pigeon holes and small drawers.

This wonderful and fully functional piece is in beautiful condition and suited to a variety of uses and decor.
