French Belgian Marble Mantel Clock

This handsome French mantel clock is presented in a finely polished Belgian black marble case. The case is elegantly styled with an arched pediment, plinth base, and moldings. It is further appointed with contrasting rouge marble to the sides and beautiful scrolling carvings incised with gilt.

Within, an 8-day movement keeps the time and marks the hour and half-hour with a pleasing gong strike. A two-part white enamel dial with a recessed center exhibits the jeweled Brocot escapement, while Roman numerals and Breguet-style hands display the time. This fine-looking late 19th century mantel clock also bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
