French Bracket Clock For The English Market
This uniquely styled French mantel clock was crafted in the early 1900s for the English market. The clock is outfitted with scrolling cast brass ormolu trim in beautiful contrast to the richly colored mahogany case. The time displays upon an engraved and silvered Roman numeral dial protected by an elegant beveled crystal. Within, an 8-day movement keeps the time and strikes the hour and half-hour on a tuned gong.
Below the dial, a presentation plaque reads: “Presented To Clifford Dixon by the Employees of S Dixon & Sons LTD Feb. 28th 1917.”
This charming clock has been fully restored and comes with a one-year warranty.
