French Miniature Boulle Form Mantel Clock

This charming French miniature Boulle form mantel clock has a Brazilian rosewood case. French cabinet maker Andre-Charles Boulle perfected the art of marquetry inlay which came to be known as boulle work. In this case, boxwood marquetry inlays featuring birds and vines decorate the case.

A brass frame surrounds the engine turned silvered dial. The dial has Roman numerals.

The movement has a silk thread suspension. The clock strikes on a bell on the hour and half hour and comes with a one year warranty.
