French Unusual Renaissance Style Mantel Clock

This truly eye-catching French mantel clock features elaborate gilt and silver marquetry on a Niello background.  The dial with Roman numerals is framed by fluted ribbon panels.  The front canted corners are adorned with floral and scroll corbels.  Four recumbent female lion figures appoint each of the top case corners.  The bulb-form case top is surmounted by a winged cherub holding a scroll.

The mechanical 8-day movement features a bell strike at the hour and half hour.  Additionally, this clock has been restored and comes with a one year warranty.
