German Singing Bird in Cage Automaton

This enchanting automaton features a mechanical bird singing a delightful tune. The brass cage is embellished on the footed base in a unique embossed foliate and floral motif accented with polychrome colors of red and burgundy. Singing cheerfully upon its perch, the little yellow bird with green and black feathers also turns its head and flicks its tail. It is manually activated with a lever, while a manual spring-wound mechanism drives the animation and song.
