This petite wrist watch is a lovely representation of the sleek elegance and symmetry that defines the Art Deco period. Crafted in platinum, the rectangular case has engraved sides and a jeweled winding crown.  Further, it is set with diamonds and sapphires sparkling in linear and geometric patterns. A silvered dial exhibits Art Deco numerals and blued steel hands, and the 17 jewel manual wind movement lies beneath. Also, the dial is signed “Birks” of Canada — a retailer, designer and maufacturer of high-end watches and jewelry established in the 1870’s.
