Village in Fall Foliage, Oil on Canvas by Walter Bollendonk

This lovely painting depicts a quaint historic village street in autumn. Beautifully portrayed in oil on canvas with excellent use of light and a lovely soft pallet. American artist, Walter Bollendonk (1897-1977) is recognized for his wonderful depictions of New England coastal area sceneries. The painting is signed lower left. And finally, a molded gilt frame with clean, elegant lines compliments the painting perfectly.
