“Champagne Girl” Bronze Sculpture After Italian Artist Ferdinando de Luca
A complementary bronze restrike of The Champagne Girl, after the celebrated composition by Italian sculptor Ferdinando de Luca. This flapper leans slightly forward upon an ornate high stool, raising her champagne glass as her other hand rests near her shoulder. Her turned body and extended leg create a more open, relaxed composition than the companion example.
Her softly draped green dress falls loosely around the figure without a defined waist, creating a fluid silhouette with an elegantly cascading hem. A jeweled ornament adorns her coordinating cloche hat, completing a sculpture rich in Art Deco glamour and celebratory Roaring Twenties spirit.
