English Rare York Minster Skeleton Clock by J. Smith & Sons of Clerkenwell

A wonderful English skeleton clock fashioned after the iconic York Minster Cathedral. Expertly crafted by celebrated clockmaker J. Smith & Sons of Clerkenwell. This exceptional eight-day timepiece keeps the time with a two-train, chain-driven fusée movement, striking the hour and half-hour on a tuned gong and bell. A repeat at-will pull allows the listener to hear the time chimed at will. The time is displayed on a pierced, silvered, and engraved 7 1/2″ chapter ring with blued steel Maltese hands. Presented upon a velvet-covered plinth and wood base beneath a hand-blown glass dome. Further, this intriguing timepiece bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty. The skeleton clock is infinitely captivating for both beauty and mechanical mastery.
