English Triple Plate Arabesque Skeleton Clock by Edward Johnson

This beautiful skeleton clock was produced by Edward Johnson of Derby. Johnson was a respected British horologist and a prestigious purveyor and producer of clocks, watches, and jewelry.

Powered for an 8-day duration by a single chain-driven fusée movement with recoil escapement and a single bell strike at the hour. The time displays on a pierced dial appointed with porcelain cartouche painted with blue Roman numerals, and blued steel maltese hands.  All of the intricate details and mechanics of this distinctive timepiece are housed within a beautiful triple-plate arabesque frame. The clock is displayed under a glass dome and rests on an elegant footed white marble base.

This very desirable English skeleton clock has undergone a complete restoration and bears a one-year warranty.
