Turquoise & Filigree Bracelet

This beautiful bracelet dates to the early 1900s and combines vivid turquoise with exceptionally delicate gilt brass filigree. Five articulated oval panels are each centered by a large turquoise cabochon, their smooth, richly colored surfaces providing a striking contrast to the intricate metalwork surrounding them.

Each panel is worked with an elaborate arrangement of scrolling wirework and finely detailed floral motifs. Tiny dimensional blossoms punctuate the filigree, while coiled tendrils and braided borders create an almost lace-like effect around the turquoise. The hinged construction allows the individual panels to gently articulate around the wrist while preserving their bold scale.

Measuring seven inches in length, the bracelet is completed by a clasp and safety chain. The combination of substantial turquoise cabochons and remarkably fine filigree gives this turn-of-the-century bracelet an especially ornate and distinctive character.
