French Novelty Fish Lamp Signed Le Verre Français

A French novelty fish lamp from the Art Deco era with a signed ball shade by Le Verre Français, a prominent French art glass brand in the early 20th century.

The globe in the center commonly represents the moon, sun, or a pearl. Contrasting hues of orange, blue, and yellow give the globe a touch of color. The lamp exudes a warm, gentle glow that illuminates any surface it sits atop of.

On each side of the globe are two bronze casted tropical fish mirroring each other. When the lamp is turned on, the globe softly radiates upon the fish and brings light to the dark bronze. The two fish add balance, structural order, and harmony- all essential elements of the Art Deco movement.

The base is crafted from Rouge Marble, a stone that was frequently utilized in early 20th century French decorative, completing the piece for an overall polished look.
