French Sevres Style Hand Painted and Gilt Bronze Porcelain Dresser Box with Hinged Lid
This lovely French porcelain dresser box has characteristics of the Sevres style of design. The dark cobalt blue finish has delicate hand painted landscape scenes on the front and back. The lid also has a painted scene of a courting couple. Gilt bronze decorations surround these these images. The rim, clasp and hinge are also gilt bronze. Finally, the underside of the lid and inside the bottom of the box have hand painted floral designs. The signature L Bertren appears on the bottom.
