Monumental in scale and breathtaking in detail, this extraordinary Renaissance Revival cabinet is a masterwork of 19th-century European carving. The upper section centers on two deeply carved narrative panels framed by elaborate foliate borders. One depicts a lively village scene with men and horses gathered before a walled town, while the other portrays a regal courtly moment, showcasing a king receiving his knights in solemn audience.
