Rogers Silver Plate Co. Sugar Spooner with Blue Glass Insert & Demitasse Spoons

Elegant and distinctly decorative, this American sugar spooner by Rogers Silver Plate Co. reflects the refined table accessories popular during the early 20th century. The silver-plated frame features elaborate openwork scrollwork and finely detailed embellishment throughout, elevated further by its vivid cobalt blue reverse thumbprint glass insert, which lends the piece remarkable color and visual depth.

Rising gracefully above the bowl is an ornate, handle-frame with scrolling crestwork, while the domed lid is crowned with a delicate finial reminiscent of a stylized fan or peacock-tail motif. Surrounding the body are twelve fitted demitasse spoons, each suspended neatly within the stand and ready for service.

Originally intended for sugar service alongside coffee or tea, spooners such as this brought both practicality and elegance to the table. The striking blue glass contrasts beautifully against the cool sheen of the silver plate, creating a display piece that remains just as visually engaging today as it was a century ago.

Both decorative and functional, this charming set embodies the graceful entertaining traditions of the 1920s and would make a wonderful addition to a silver collection, tea service, or period dining display.
