This lovely Swiss cylinder music box, crafted in the 1890s, features a 13-3/4″ cylinder playing 10 delightful tunes. The machine features dual combs and Sublime Harmony arrangements, adding rich tonal depth and resonance.
Housed in a rosewood case, the box is adorned with elegant floral and musical motif marquetry inlays on the lid and grain-painted sides, showcasing the artistry of late 19th-century cabinetmaking. The interior lid retains its original, vividly illustrated tune card, adding charm and historical context to the piece. A tune indicator located to the left of the cylinder allows you to follow along with the song title, type of tune, and composer. Controls on the right-hand side allow the user to operate the machine with on/off and change/repeat.
